Ecological Engineer series celebrates sustainable design

July 17, 2006—The Ecological Engineer is a book series showcasing innovative engineers in North America and the practices and principles that they use to produce functionally outstanding structures, systems, and technologies, in accordance with sustainable design principles.

Volume One: KEEN Engineering by David R. Macaulay and Jason F. McLennan, focuses on the work of one of the leading sustainable MEP firms in North America, KEEN Engineering.

As mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers who work on projects all over North America, they have “consistently been inspiring” as a company, as individuals, and by the sheer volume and quality of their work, according to the authors.

The book provides a resource and benchmark for engineers, architects, and other building professionals for designing, building, and engineering with principles that are sustainable for both people and the environment.
