EIA renewable energy maps list renewable energy resources throughout US

The Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) has published Renewable Energy Maps that present an integrated picture of renewable energy resources in each of the nine US Census Divisions. The maps show the locations of solar, geothermal, and wind energy potentials, as well as indicators of hydroelectric, biomass, and wood energy potential. In addition, the maps show the geographic location of all renewable energy power plants with a net summer capacity of 1 megawatt or more.

For more information about the maps, contact EIA at 202/586-5737.
