December 21, 2007—The Emergency Information Infrastructure Partnership (EIIP), a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to enhancing the practice of emergency management, has announced the addition of two new features to its Web site.
The first in a planned series of brief podcasts is now available. This audio commentary is focused on the new Web features. Future broadcasts will include mini-interviews with Virtual Forum presenters, EIIP partners, and emergency management newsmakers, and other items of interest. A podcast archive will be compiled as more are added. An RSS feed is also available for the current podcast.
The second new feature is a system for users to rate and/or review Virtual Forum presentations. This will provide guidance to future users to locate content most useful to them. The information will also be used by the EIIP for evaluation and for guidance in selecting future programs. Ratings/reviews from session attendees and/or from subsequent transcripts are both welcome, says EIIP.
