January 29, 2003—WebGen Systems, a provider of proactive energy management systems, the Intelligent Use of Energy (IUE), has announced a three-year reseller agreement with EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc., a provider of mechanical and electrical construction and facilities services. Under the terms of the agreement, EMCOR Facilities Services may resell WebGen’s proprietary neural network-based conservation system to its customers.
WebGen’s Intelligent Use of Energy system monitors, forecasts, and controls energy consumption, in real-time, over the Internet. IUE provides building owners and managers an automated energy management solution that reduces energy costs and improves energy efficiency while maintaining desired service levels.
Employing proprietary artificial intelligence working through neural networks, IUE learns energy consumption patterns throughout the enterprise and executes smart conservation strategies that reduce costs. IUE links disparate buildings into an efficient energy management network using the Internet. The automated system delivers permanent load reduction, peak load avoidance and curtailment services.
Depending on building type and location, WebGen customers can expect net savings of 12% or more on overall energy expenditures.
