EMSL opens new IAQ lab in Raleigh, NC

February 6, 2004—EMSL Analytical, Inc., the largest network of AIHA EMLAP Accredited indoor air quality testing laboratories in the nation, has expanded their network by opening a new facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The new North Carolina facility will provide a full range of analytical services such as PLM, PCM & TEM asbestos testing, as well as viable and non-viable fungal analyses.

EMSL Analytical currently operates 23 laboratories throughout the nation, and has 23 Ph.D professionals on staff. Full-service analytical services include mold, bacteria, asbestos, lead, indoor allergens, mycotoxins, endotoxins, polymerase chain reaction (DNA) testing, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, environmental chemistry, forensic, failure, materials, and mechanical testing services.

EMSL Analytical currently holds accreditations with the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the AIHA Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP), the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), and the California Department of Health Services (Cal DHS) for asbestos analysis. The labs are also successful participants in AIHA’s Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT), Environmental Lead Proficiency Analytical Testing (ELPAT), and the Environmental Mold Proficiency Analytical Testing (EMPAT) programs.
