Encompass and Colliers team up to serve the corporate real estate market

April 12, 2002—To provide an expanded range of professional property solutions for corporate real estate clients, Encompass Services Corporation and Colliers International have formed a strategic business alliance. The alliance will offer corporate clients “one-stop” delivery of totally integrated real estate, brokerage, facility management support and operational services, according to the two firms. They add that the extensive market coverage will permit the alliance to deliver services on a self-performing basis through its own personnel, and that clients with multiple locations across the nation need to make only one phone call to develop a solution for their real estate and facilities operational needs. Encompass offers a single source for construction, engineering, and emergency support in the facilities field. Colliers is a large global real estate firm managing 465 million sq.ft. of property internationally.

The Encompass/Colliers alliance points to research claiming that companies can reduce their operational costs by as much as 25 percent through total outsourcing of facility support operations, and that the new alliance provides onsite management of a client’s facility operations, maintenance repair, capital budgets, and staff. Long-term maintenance and capital improvement plans, claim the alliance, will maximize facility and equipment service life. Collier’s Web-based technology for real estate portfolio management will be linked to Encompass’s Computer Maintenance Management Systems and Customer Call Center for tracking facility maintenance work, service requests, and operational costs.
