January 17, 2005—Encore Seating’s first-ever executive and conference-specific seating collection has a one-piece compound curve shell, significant ergonomic contours, and pristine appearance, says the firm, known for its cost-conscious seating solutions. Developed by Encore’s in-house team of designers, Realm comes in mid- and high-back models and with swivel-tilt and knee-tilt mechanisms. Realm can also be made to order with black nylon, satin, or chrome bases as well as with cantilever or adjustable T-arms.
Realm is competitively priced, with standard lead times of two weeks or less and a lifetime warranty on all seating components, according to Helen H. Kim, Encore’s director of marketing services.
Encore Seating also updated its brand identity with a new look described as “energetic, playful, and even a touch irreverent.” The design firm Looking, hired for the upgrade, designed a new logo that “possesses a handwritten quality with a hint of the child’s more freeform hand.” The color palette embodies a core set of six serious colors that are muted and modern rather than bold and primary.
