June 24, 2005—Potential purchasers of recycled wood products in the UK will now be able to access a wide range of product information and see the goods in action before they buy, thanks to the new-look wood Web site from (the Waste & Resources Action Programme).
The original site focused on providing information about wood recycling services and facilities across the UK. Building on this, the new site places the spotlight on enhancing the status of recycled wood products. The aim is to link potential purchasers with the relevant suppliers of products such as landscaping surfacing materials.
The site is expected to appeal to a wide variety of audiences including purchasers and specifiers of recycled wood products; wood waste collection, processing, and recycling organizations; and generators of wood waste.
