EPA, H2E unveil online healthcare environmental resource center

April 27, 2005—The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in partnership with Hospitals for a Healthy Environment (H2E), has unveiled a one-stop Web site for pollution prevention best practices and compliance assistance resources for the healthcare sector.

Reportedly the first of its kind, the Healthcare Environmental Resource Center will cover Hazardous Materials, Regulated Medical Waste, Waste Reduction, Facilities & Equipment, and Regulations & Standards. It will also give information on H2E and its various programs, awards, teleconferences, events, technical resources, and other resources.
