May 9, 2008—The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently updated its lists of the leading purchasers of green power as of April 8 in several categories, all among its Green Power Partners. The quarterly lists, which EPA says have changed little over the past three months, are highlighted below.
The first five of the National Top 25 Green Power Partners are:
- Intel Corporation (1,302,040,000 kWh/year; 46% of total electricity use)
- PepsiCo (1,144,773,154; 100%)
- US Air Force (899,143,000; 9%)
- Wells Fargo & Company (550,000,000; 42%)
- Whole Foods Market (509,104,786; 100%)

EPA’s 100% Green Power Purchasers list represents all of the organizations that are buying green power to meet 100% of their US organization-wide electricity use. The top purchasers include:
