The Series 800 also features many of the same robust components and construction features as the EPS 6000 for high reliability.
The EPS 6000 Series 800 features a 94 percent energy efficiency rating even when lightly loaded, unlike many conventional online UPSs, which drop in energy efficiency as the load drops. The EPS 6000, in contrast, uses highly stable DPQ circuitry to continually optimize the switching frequency for the load level and power profile, thereby minimizing switching losses. The result is uninterrupted power and reduced utility power costs with energy savings that may actually pay for the unit in as little as three years. The series 800 s 720 kW / 0.9 output power factor matches today’s data center load power factors, providing the maximum level of usable power.
Designed to conserve valuable computer room floor space, the compact EPS 6000 Series 800 measures just 120 inches in length, giving it a high power density of 23kW / square foot. The components are all front-accessible to make it easier to inspect and maintain. Matching maintenance cabinets are also available, eliminating the need for auxiliary cabinets.
