ESS introduces new version of crisis management software

February 13, 2004—Environmental Support Solutions (ESS) announced recently that its Essential Suite division will release the latest version of its industry-leading Web-based contingency management software at the National Emergency Management Associations (NEMA) mid-year conference this month.

Incident Master 2.0 includes enhanced features that allow for auto-generated task management and browser-based communications management embedded within the program.

Key features of Incident Master 2.0 include:

  • ICS Compliance: Incident Master 2.0 is the first Incident Command System (ICS)-compliant Crisis Management Information System (CMIS), with features like complete roles and responsibilities, in the five key functional areas. As well as a full ICS form library, Incident Master 2.0 has self-paced training material imbedded in the software.
  • Integrated Mapping: Microsofts Map Point application is embedded as a standard feature of Incident Master 2.0. The program can also be customized to support mapping solutions from Map Info and Esri.
  • Enhanced PIO Function: The program provides enhanced briefing capabilities, including an all-new Public Information portal. This browser-based system, from Audience Central, enables an incident commander to manage incident communications collaboratively and with ease.
  • Advanced Task Management: Users now have the option of advanced task management; tasks are assigned, recognized and tracked in an efficient browser-based system. This feature frees up the command process, while the application automatically tracks operational performance.
  • Enhanced Library: The applications library now ships with all ICS documentation and forms embedded. Library enhancements also provide users with common “drag and drop” depositories for incident reporting and analysis.
