A steady and rapid growth in the number of teleworkers in Europe will soar to 10 million this year, and by 2005, more than 10 percent of the European workforce will join the teleworking ranks. Finland leads with most teleworkers, followed by Germany, with Spain third. These are among initial findings of a new report “Telework in Europe—Status and Potential.”
Ten countries were surveyed by an international consotrium of consultants, supported by the European Commission. The report on teleworking will be available at the Telework 2000 conference, held at the QEII Conference Centre in London on the 13-15 September. More information on www.telework2000.com.
