DESCRIPTION:The ASHRAE Building Decarbonization Conference 2025 will be an information and idea exchange between stakeholders in the built environment industry concerning the reduction of GHG emissions in new and existing buildings and systems. ASHRAE’s 4th building decarbonization conference will feature a significant focus on strategies and solutions for scaling up building decarbonization. The scope of the conference will cover a range of buildings from residential to small\, medium and large commercial buildings to campus and portfolio buildings. The conference will bring together engineering and technical solution providers with building owners\, utility program managers\, local governments and financial services providers who are increasingly challenged to meet stringent building decarbonization goals\, policies and regulations in a practical\, cost-effective manner. \nThe ASHRAE Building Decarbonization Conference 2025 program will cover the topics below and more: \n\nScaling decarbonized new construction of buildings;\nScaling building decarbonization retrofits;\nScaling across multiple buildings (campus\, portfolio) and systems\, such as district heating energy system;\nSpecial considerations in scaling building decarbonization in rural and underserved communities;\nWhole-life carbon and embodied carbon best practices\, resources\, tools and case studies;\nPairing decarbonization with resiliency and enhanced IEQ;\nPolicies and Standards\, including building energy codes and Building Performance Standards;\nCold climate design\, construction and operational considerations including hybrid heating solutions;\nManaging peak electric loads from building electrification – demand reduction\, thermal storage\, DER integration\, demand flexibility;\nBuilding decarbonization through utility programs – new construction\, retrofits;\nFinancing solutions for building decarbonization in new construction and retrofits – net zero as a service\, ESPC\, PACE\, green mortgages.
