Hosted by the Center for Green Schools, the 16th annual Green Schools Conference 2026 will be held February 17-19, 2026 in San Diego, California. Each year, the Green Schools Conference (GSC) brings together a national community of educators, school leaders, designers and advocates committed to whole-school sustainability. From inspiring sessions and expert panels to meaningful networking opportunities, the GSC is where green school leaders unite to drive progress.
The event offers those in the green schools community — including those who lead, operate, build and teach in schools — a deep dive into the most pressing green school topics within the areas of environmental impact, health and wellness, environmental and sustainability education, and whole-school sustainability culture.
The Green Schools Conference 2026 event will feature two days of inspiring sessions, expert-led workshops, and dynamic networking opportunities, followed by optional post-conference tours, which offer attendees a chance to explore sustainability in action at local schools and organizations across the San Diego area.
Join education and sustainability leaders from across the country to connect, learn, and advance the movement for healthier, more equitable, and more sustainable schools.
About Center for Green Schools
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) founded the Center for Green Schools in 2010, broadening its foundational work in the green building movement to encompass topics and issues important to schools and the people in them every day: teachers, students, staff, and parents. Since that time, we have focused on the highest impact opportunities to accelerate a global green school movement.
