ORGATEC 2026, taking place October 27-30 in Cologne, Germany brings together leading furniture brands, renowned experts and a premium, international design-trade public in Cologne, Germany. With its new first-ever central theme, ORGATEC 2026 shifts the spotlight to humans, their relationships within work and contract spaces, and ways to navigate continual change.
Themed “From Rooms to Relationships: Designing Spaces in an Ever-Changing World,” ORGATEC, the leading international trade fair for the modern working world offers an opportunity to experience how purely functional settings can be transformed into spaces that foster genuine connection, creativity, collaboration and a sense of belonging, and how adaptive solutions can help to sustain these in an environment of constant change.
This year the ORGATEC exhibition will be divided into segments: Workspace Solutions and Contract Solutions. Workspace Solutions reflects the entire bandwidth of the modern work world – from office and conference furniture through acoustic, lighting and media technology, modular work areas, room-in-room systems, ergonomic and technical workplace outfitting to solutions for hybrid and mobile work as well as innovative new work and lifestyle-oriented concepts. Contract Solutions offers holistic, functional and design-oriented interior design solutions and systems for professionally used spaces, including hotels, food service, congress and conference centers, reception, lounge and lobby areas, public buildings like administration offices and cultural institutions as well as outdoor areas like facilities, patios and resorts.
Following the successful premiere in 2024, the “Wherever Whenever – Work Culture Festival” will once again be part of ORGATEC in 2026. Initiated by the IBA and its member companies, the format features three main areas of thematic focus: “Empowered Experience”, “Connected Cultures” and “Radical Impact”. Speakers will focus on new work environments, corporate culture and collaboration as well as on the effects of sustainability, technology and AI on the work world.
