August 18, 2008—Faceo has acquired Delft Facilities, Delft Communication Services and Delft Facilities Projects in The Netherlands, a move that gives Faceo a strategic position in the strongly growing Dutch FM market, according to the company. The acquisition comes, it adds, with a substantial order book and considerable opportunities for expansion in the future. Delft specializes in real estate services, technical management, procurement services, parks management and interim and project management.

This acquisition follows closely on the news that Faceo Germany has taken over Cegelec’s technical FM activities in Germany from Cegelec Anlagen, which is based in Frankfurt. The service contracts extend primarily to Berlin and the surrounding area. Cegelec will continue to concentrate on its three main core businesses, Integrating Technological Solutions, Systems in Industry and Services (Global Maintenance), and will remain active in the area of industrial maintenance, says the company.

The main objective of the acquisition in Holland is to combine forces and establish a stable position in the Dutch market thus extending Faceo SA functions throughout Europe therefore further extending Faceo’s self delivery capability across Europe. With the takeover of Cegelec Anlagen, Faceo has expanded its presence in Berlin and significantly strengthened its technical competences at the same time.
