June 15, 2026–Offering more than 100 educational sessions providing the latest research, trends, and strategies in the healthcare design industry, Healthcare Design Conference + Expo (HCD Expo) will be in New Orleans, one of the most desired locations for its annual gathering. Hospital systems’ facilities executives, architects and planners will attend, October 17-20, 2026 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. In addition to the educational sessions, attendees will have the chance to connect with industry leaders, as well as taking in the exhibit hall – featuring hundreds of providers giving demonstrations and showcasing the newest innovative healthcare design products and services that support the design of hospital and clinic environments.
The International Federation of Healthcare Engineering (IFHE) has chosen to host its IFHE World Congress 2026 during HCD. The organization brings together stakeholders from across healthcare facility design, construction, engineering, operations, and real estate management who will travel to New Orleans to collaborate on solutions and challenges. IFHE membership spans more than 35 countries, creating the potential for discussions spanning diverse perspectives at this U.S. event. The co-located IFHE World Congress is hosted by the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP), the U.S. representative to IFHE, in partnership with EmeraldX and co-located event alongside the Healthcare Design (HCD) Conference + Expo.

On Sunday, the Nightingale Awards jury will review approximately 50 products before the expo opens and winners will be announced during the Monday morning keynote program.
