November 6, 2002—Facility Engineering Associates (FEA) has been contracted by Texas A&M University to perform engineering consulting services for restoration of the Eller O&M Building faade.
FEA will begin work on this two-phase project by performing a forensic evaluation to determine repair plans, specifications and costs for repairs at a portion of the building. Phase II of the project will entail repairs to the remainder of the panels on the building faade.
The Eller O&M Building of Texas A&M University was constructed in 1973 and presently houses the Oceanographic and Meteorology Departments. The building is 14 stories high with 2 feet by 2 feet limestone exterior panels adhered to adjacent panels.
