April 24, 2006—The GLOBE Foundation of Canada has announced the winners of the fifth annual GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence. The awards were presented at the culmination of GLOBE 2006 to celebrate Canadian companies that take a proactive approach to sustainable business strategies and have made significant strides towards developing progressive technologies and services.
Awards were presented in the following categories:
- Corporate Competitiveness Award for Product: Interface Flooring Systems Inc.
- Corporate Competitiveness for Efficiency and Mitigation: Suncor Energy Inc.
- Corporate Award for Technology Innovations: Ivey International.
- Industry Award for Export Performance: Advanced Glazings Ltd.
- Capital Markets Award for Sustainable Investment and Banking: Jantzi Research Inc.
- GLOBE award for Excellence in Urban Sustainability: Canadian War Museum (an affiliate museum of the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation)
