August 29, 2003—Fike Corp recently unveiled its new voice evacuation system, FikeGuard. The system alarm people to leave buildings in case of a fire, tornado, or other disaster. The standard systems are pre-configured and available in various wattage’s depending on the power requirements of the individual application. FikeGuard FGX is needed for larger projects requiring more power and features to meet high-rise applications. Typical applications are schools, restaurants, hospitals, office buildings, museums, shopping malls, and other large facilities. FikeGuard can operate as a standalone communication system or as a life safety voice evacuation alarm system when coupled with virtually any fire alarm control panel.
