Florida Power & Light implements Peregrines FleetAnywhere for off-site maintenance

September 14, 2001—Florida Power & Light is among the first to implement Peregrine’s Fleet Web Applications, which allows customers to enter vehicle maintenance data from off-site service and maintenance locations directly over the Web or through a company’s intranet.

Florida Power & Light chose Fleet Web Applications because of the operational and financial benefits. The utility company operates and maintains 3,800 pieces of equipment—from executive cars to cherry pickers and bucket trucks—and operates multiple garages, including mobile mechanics who use hand-held devices to enter data.

“One of the attractive features of FleetAnywhere is the ability to have our vendors use our system online. This is a very big piece of the puzzle for us—it will save us time spent re-entering information, accuracy will be improved and we’ll have information in real-time,” said George Survant, Florida Power & Light’s director of fleet services.

Addressing the most common work processes in a fleet environment, the four Fleet Web Applications include Shop Activity, Customer Access, Rental Pool Reservations and Vendor Invoice Payment. For more information, contact Peregrine.
