March 14, 2008—CAFM Resources is pleased to announce the upcoming release of FMView, which provides robust Web access to Autodesk FMDesktop data via the browser and includes a comprehensive user interface that makes it easy to search, theme, edit and report facilities information.
FMView is built on Autodesk Design Review technology, which was developed specifically to leverage Autodesk’s DWF drawing viewer engine, the company notes.
FMView delivers a rich feature set via a Web browser that includes live browser access to space, people and asset information; drawing viewing and markup capability; the ability to theme drawings to show space use, people locations and equipment; and a robust search engine that lets users locate and display any information in the database.
It also provides a comprehensive set of data editing tools and the ability to generate reports that present data in a variety of formats.
FMView will be available for delivery by April 1, 2008. Visit the Web site for more information.
