Food Code 2005 now available from NTIS

April 17, 2006—The Food Code contains the latest science-based information on food safety for retail and food service industries. It represents the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) best advice for a uniform system for safeguarding public health and ensuring food is unadulterated and honestly presented when offered to the consumer.

In collaboration with the Conference for Food Protection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the US Department of Agriculture, the updated Food Code focuses on enhancing food safety practices based on new scientific and programmatic information.
