March 9, 2009 The annual listing of most admired companies published in FORTUNE magazine includes furniture makers, building materials companies and engineering and construction firms.
The top four companies in the furniture category, in order, are Herman Miller, Steelcase, Leggett & Platt and HNI.
For building materials and glass, the most admired companies, in order, are Martin Marietta Materials, Owens Corning, USG, Vulcan Materials and Holcim.
In the engineering and construction category, the top companies are EMCOR Group, Jacobs Engineering Group, Fluor, Skanska, Vinci</a., Hochtief, Takenaka and Shimizu.
