October 21, 2003—Frontier Refining has contracted with Indus International for the Indus EAM (enterprise asset management) solution to help optimize plant production and ensure regulatory compliance. Frontier is a subsidiary of Frontier Oil Corp. and operates as an independent energy company engaged in crude oil refining and the wholesale marketing of refined petroleum products.
Frontier Oil chose a complete EAM solution from Indus to improve operations and provide synergy at its refineries in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and in El Dorado, Kansas, with a total crude oil capacity of more than 156,000 barrels a day. By combining Indus’s work management, inventory management, and electronic document management, Frontier Oil will cost-effectively improve the productivity of its asset management, stores inventory, and maintenance operations, while maintaining high levels of reliability and safety.
With the Indus solution, Frontier will be better prepared to make decisions through improved information availability, grow the company and meet internal and regulatory reporting requirements. Frontier adds that the EMPAC system with its leading technology techniques will provide the energy company with a state-of-the-art system for many years to come.
According to Indus, the contract continues its leadership in providing advanced solutions to companies across the oil and gas industry–from drilling companies, refining companies, and distributing companies.
