June 5, 2002—GE Digital Energy, a provider of critical power solutions to the digital marketplace, has introduced a family of high-performance Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) products for North America.
The SitePro and LanPro UPS product families provide reliable and managed power supplies to numerous organizations in multiple industries. “Organizations with mission critical operations, such as data centers or health care facilities, cannot afford even a few seconds of down time that often comes with power disturbances. These UPS products ensure there will be no interruption due to power disturbances,” said Jim Shepard, president, GE Digital Energy.
The SitePro and LanPro UPS products include the following features:
- Each UPS module operates in a double conversion mode (providing true on-line operation), thus providing complete power protection. The products are fully compliant with international standards on Voltage Frequency Independent (VFI) operation, which make them reliable for data security and other demanding applications.
- Each UPS module can be utilized in parallel configuration with GE Digital Energy’s exclusive Redundant Parallel Architecture technology. This technology offers true peer-to-peer configuration with redundancy in all critical elements and functions.
The SitePro is a three-phase UPS available in models from 10 kVA up to 300 kVA. For high-power redundant applications, it can be installed with up to eight units in parallel, achieving power protection up to 2.4 MVA. The LanPro is a single-phase high-performance UPS available in models from 5 kVA to 10 kVA.
