Geac strengthens software solutions for construction management

October 14, 2005—Geac has announced the availability of StarBuilder accounting version 5.2 powered for service management by Servicom, which provides construction contractors with a robust tool set for company-wide accounting, new construction job costing and service/warranty operations, the company says.

The enhanced solution is the result of the collaborative efforts of two construction software industry leaders and technology partners, Geac and Aligo. The Geac Aligo technology partnership began in 1996, and continues to yield advanced solutions for specialty/service contractors.

From customer relationship management, dispatching and scheduling to full billing capabilities as well as management and financial reporting, Geac’s solution streamlines the broad scope of construction and service operations, the company says. In addition, through the technology partnership with Aligo, Geac offers mobile technology that interfaces with StarBuilder, taking the power of the real-time solution into the field where the service and warranty work takes place.
