May 18, 2005—GiveMePower Corp. and Leica Geosystems have unveiled GiveMePower’s new PowerCAD SiteMaster 2 mobile and wireless building surveying solution.
Using a Leica DISTO Plus Bluetooth wireless laser, PowerCAD SiteMaster speeds the production of precise, AutoCAD-compatible building surveys, area estimates, and inspection drawings by up to 10 times over traditional measuring tape and paper methods, according to GiveMePower. In addition, the solution improves building measuring, construction and information management efficiencies for facilities managers, property managers, realtors, architects, appraisers, contractors, estimators, and other professionals involved in the design, construction, and management of buildings.
According to its developers, PowerCAD SiteMaster is the first system of its kind to fully automate the creation of wireless, laser-generated “as-built” floor plans, area estimates, and inspection drawings for building information professionals.
SiteMaster drawings are created to professional architectural CAD standards, and include complete as-built floor plan and inspection information with “intelligently drafted” walls, windows, doors and symbols, instant room areas and dimensions, detailed building inspection observations with digital photographs and hands-free audio VoiceNOTE recordings. For maximum efficiency, adds GiveMePower, results can be saved directly in AutoCAD file formats and sent directly from the job site to a customer of company office locations via email or wireless data transfer.
