Gold winner dna furniture empowers employees to create tailor-made workspaces

June 21, 2002—The office furniture company dna is organized around the principle of mass personalization. With a modular product line, dna empowers individuals to create tailor-made workspaces, while allowing employers to guide and manage the creation process. In the Best of NeoCon product competition at The Merchandise Mart in June, dna received a Gold Award in the Alternative Office Systems category.

Part of the approach to personalize workspaces is dna’s Web-based software that allows people to build their customized workstations based on specific work needs online. After following the easy-to-use instructions, workers can view the results in 3/D “room” environment, all without necessary training. dna is a partnership between designer Richard Holbrook and Teknion.
