April 25, 2003—Indus International has announced the general availability of EMPAC Release 8.6, the latest version of the company’s “flexible and dynamically configurable” solution for customers with multi-site environments and global operations.
EMPAC 8.6 offers new functional enhancements to the existing EMPAC solution, including:
- A graphical scheduling tool to allow easy manipulation of work schedules in a calendar view and graphical budgeting tools to present project budgets in a more easy-to-use format.
- Enhanced navigation, including hyperlinks and more direct navigation tabs from one functional area to another.
- Activity-based accounting to provide a wider range of financial reporting alternatives.
- Wide variety of ease-of-use enhancements based upon input from the EMPAC Special Interest Group organization and individual clients.
