March 27, 2009—The Center for Resource Solutions recently announced that TXU Energy’s commercial renewable product, Texas Wind, is now Green-e Energy Certified. Texas Wind comes from 100% wind generation within the state of Texas. TXU Energy joins the growing network of renewable energy providers that offer products certified by Green-e Energy, the national certification and verification program for renewable energy.
TXU Energy can now offer Texas commercial customers a flexible suite of renewable energy options. By purchasing Green-e Energy certified renewable energy, customers will support currently available renewable resources as well as aid in the development of new renewable resources in the state of Texas.
Green-e Energy provides independent, third-party certification to ensure certified renewable energy meets strict environmental and consumer protection standards. The program currently has over 180 participating vendors selling nearly 15.7 million megawatt-hours of renewable energy in 2007.
