Groom Energy Solutions is launched to help companies reduce energy demand

June 19, 2006—Groom Energy Solutions has officially launched its business focused on enabling commercial and industrial companies to reduce their energy consumption.

As a full-service provider of energy efficient systems and services, Groom Energy is applying the latest technologies in air conditioning, heating, ventilation, lighting and control systems to achieve these energy efficiency gains. This approach has helped Groom Energy customers realize returns on investments in less than a year, with significant, on-going economic and environmental results.

Since beginning initial operations in September 2005 as a start up division of Groom Construction, Groom Energy has delivered dramatic results for companies like EMC Corporation, Simonds International, AG Russell, General Cable, National Lumber and New Corr Packaging. By upgrading their operating environments, these customers have achieved significant energy savings and demand reduction on their utilities, which in turn helps to reduce carbon and sulfur dioxide emissions, says the company.

The Groom Energy team provides each customer with the details on how much energy usage can be reduced, the economic and environmental impact, and the incentives that are available for these investments. Once analyzed, the team provides turn-key construction management for these projects including technology sourcing, project and incentive management, installation and maintenance.
