GSA debuts online marketplace for surplus property

November 1, 2006—The US General Services Administration (GSA) recently announced the launch of GovSales.gov, the Federal Asset Sales E-Gov Initiative’s new Web site that provides single-point, public access to surplus, seized, or forfeited assets for sale by the federal government.

GovSales.gov allows the public to search listings of property ranging from computers and communication equipment to industrial machinery and buildings. The site spans multiple national and regional federal sales centers.
