September 30, 2009— GSH Group, Inc., an international facilities and energy management provider throughout Europe and the United States, was awarded a five year contract to provide all-inclusive HVAC services at New Jersey Transit Headquarters located at One and Two Penn Plaza, Newark, New Jersey. The Class A 400,000-square-feet office building was built in 1991 and houses the corporation’s main operations and critical computer center.
This contract is for an all-inclusive program for the operation, maintenance, repair and warranties of all HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems, notes GSH. In addition, GSH will provide emergency response services to the facility 24 hours per day, seven days per week, through its in-house National Service Center and team of licensed journeymen.
GSH has been providing HVAC services to Transit’s headquarters since March of 2004 and the contract has been extended to GSH through a competitive bidding process.
