Haworth captures a Roscoe for Zody at Best of Year awards

December 15, 2006—Haworth, Inc., received a Roscoe award for the Zody chair and was a finalist in three additional categories at Interior Design’s Best of Year awards. Dick Haworth, Haworth Chairman of the Board, accepted the award on behalf of the company at New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

Zody received the Roscoe in the Seating-Contract Office category. Zody is Haworth ‘s newest task chair, introducing a revolutionary asymmetrical lumbar support system with features previously available only in high-end chairs.

Zody is the first chair endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). The chair also has earned a many other awards, including Ecolabel certification from Good Environmental Choice Australia and Greenguard certification.

In addition to the Zody award, Haworth was finalist in the Architectural Products, Building Products, and Furniture Systems Roscoe categories. Interior Design magazine reinstituted these awards after a 14-year hiatus and winners were chosen based on an online vote with more than 25,000 votes cast.
