A long wall of mirrors with LED messages greeted NeoCon showroom visitors, touting if‘s numerous advantages and uses, such as:” if you think humans are important,” “ifyou wear many hats,” “if you need power everywhere.” To actively highlight if‘s flexibility and ease of use, a team of scarlet-suited showroom workers reconfigured a group of if workstations every 30 minutes. Digital cameras photographed the different arrangements to deliver time-stamped images on the adjacent monitor wall. World-leading design firm Gensler designed Haworth’s NeoCon 2000 showroom around the claim that “ifreflects the needs of its users, of the market, and of the ever-changing workplace.”
The if furniture system was designed to outfit every space and help organizations address pressing business issues by integrating infinite work environments — enhancing existing or new spaces — and creating a cohesive look throughout the buildings. It was collaboratively designed by the Haworth industrial team of Ronna Alexander, Bob Wayner, Chuck Saylor and Dan West. It reflects space designers’ dreams of great spaces, facility managers’ wish for flexibility within standards, and end-users’ need to work the way they want, no matter how often that changes.
Storage, collaborative pieces, power, work tops, tables and screens can be easily modified to individual needs and moved from space to space.
- Active Storage: includes small, medium and large mobile storage carts that integrate Jump StuffTM work tools.
- Collaborative: mobile carts — media, bookcase, presentation, projection and hospitality — and a portable easel with marker-board surface and mountable display rails, support group interaction.
- Utility System: if‘s power-and-data family provides a completely freestanding solution for delivering power, voice and data.
- Work Tops: choose from 10 work top shapes (such as rectangular, swell and countertop).
- Tables: if boasts a height-adjustable table with the fastest crank ratio on the market (1 crank = 1 inch), and a continuous-adjustment range from 26 to 42 inches.
- Screens: lightweight mobile or fixed privacy screens complement every system.
