Heath Construction chosen for three library projects in Colorado and Wyoming

March 6, 2009—Heath Construction, which has a long history of high-profile municipal work, is completing construction of three public libraries in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming that total $6 million.

Heath is putting final touches on a new Council Tree branch library in the city of Fort Collins, which cost $1.6 million to construct and $6.6 million when all materials, furniture and other items are included. The library is the citys first LEED Gold-certified library.

The Windsor – Severance Library District chose Heath as general contractor for its new $1.3 million, 11,000-square-foot addition to its main library in Windsor. And the State of Wyoming contracted with Heath for a $3.1 million renovation of the old Cheyenne city library facility to create a modern, statewide research library and training center.

Heath, headquartered in Fort Collins, has constructed or remodeled numerous municipal and educational facilities in Wyoming and Colorado. Projects include the $1.2 million renovation of Alta Vista Elementary School in Cheyenne; the award-winning $3.4 million Harmony Library for the City of Fort Collins and Front Range Community College; the $4.6 million Lafayette police facility; the $6.7 million Loveland Fairgrounds Park; the $6.5 million facility additions for Weld County School District 6; and the $20 million Regional Biocontainment Laboratory at Colorado State University a joint venture with Hensel Phelps Construction Co.
