Herman Miller, Inc. is deploying Khameleon (a division of ASA International Ltd. and a premier developer of e-business management application software) as its core back and front office solution for the North Star Pilot Program. The program will expand the global reach of Herman Miller with a new distribution model that will be supported by Khameleon.
“We needed project-centric software and tools that would support the outreach program we plan for our dealers,” said Peggy Cannon, project manager for Herman Miller’s North Star Pilot Program. “Over the coming months, we will roll this business model out to as many as 40 distributors of Herman Miller, so it is vital to have in place a solution that can handle this level of distribution. Khameleon offered us not only the front office functions we required, but also the essential financial and project management capabilities supporting the back-office as well.” Ultimately, this approach would enable all Herman Miller distributors to function on a common platform.
