Herman Miller introduces 22 new fabric patterns to seating solutions

February 8, 2002—Herman Miller has increased the breadth of colors and patterns available for its products through the introduction of 22 new fabric patterns. They represent the latest offerings from the company’s textile design firm partners Jhane Barnes Textiles, Luna Textiles and Maharam.

The fabrics, including five proprietary patterns, have been added to Herman Miller’s complete seating and system vocabulary. More than 400 colors and patterns are now available for the company’s office products.

Herman Miller established its alliance with the textile design firms in an effort to introduce a wider range of innovative new materials to its seating and systems lines. The success of that initial endeavor, unveiled at the NeoCon 2000 trade show, prompted the group to develop more materials and applications for Herman Miller products.
