Herman Miller receives Site Selection/William Dorsey Service Provider Award

November 29, 2001—Herman Miller Global Customer Solutions (GCS) has been recognized for demonstrating the importance of putting clients first by being chosen a recipient of the 2001 Site Selection/William Dorsey Service Provider award. The award program, now in its third year, “recognizes the corporate real estate profession’s elite service provider organizations for their work in solving clients’—and the industry’s—most vexing business issues while raising the client service bar,” according to Mike Arend, editor of Site Selection, the publication whose editorial board selects the winners.

Michelle Behrenwald, Vice President of Global Services for Herman Miller, notes that GCS’s mission is “solving clients’ real business needs by creating long-term partnerships through innovative and flexible service models that provide measurable results.” GCS’s focused intellectual capital and diversely skilled professionals are backed by an on-the-ground, technology-enabled service network throughout various parts of the world. The bundled service offerings are based on each client’s need for design, delivery, and maintenance of great places to work across countries and cultures.

GCS’s clients say the most important relationship factors are:

  1. GCS’s ability to listen, understand, and solve customer problems.
  2. GCS’s customized approach—not one size fits all—built on trust and integrity.

The Site Selection/William Dorsey Service Provider Award honors the memory of William Dorsey, former managing director of Fluor Daniel’s Global Location Strategies. For more information, contact Herman Miller.
