Herman Miller Teams Up with Leading Textile Companies

Herman Miller, Inc., a leading global provider of office furnishings and related services, has formed an alliance with leading textile design firms—Jhane Barnes Textiles, Luna Textiles, and Maharam—in order to introduce an increasing range of innovative and new materials to its furniture line. Each firm’s signature designs will be integrated into the standard offering available on Herman Miller products, many on an exclusive basis to help simplify the COM (customer’s own material) ordering process for specifier and customer.

“Rather than developing an internal Herman Miller textile division,” explains Ray Kennedy, General Manager/CMF Group, “we believe partnering with these three fast-paced, independent companies will deliver to our customers the most unexpected, inspiring, diverse, and highly functional solutions into the future.”

The textile alliance program was unveiled during June’s NeoCon 2000, and the initial fabric collection is scheduled to launch in the fall of this year. Details available at www.hermanmiller.com.
