May 28, 2003—Siemens Medical Solutions has introduced HIPAA Excelerate, a choice of bundled solutions that offer customers a complement of tools and services to help them quickly and effectively facilitate their HIPAA compliance, while protecting their revenue and improving their workflow. The solutions packages are available immediately to Siemens customers.
With the October 2003 HIPAA transactions and code sets deadlines fast approaching, HIPAA Excelerate leverages Siemens technology and services to help healthcare providers meet these milestones. Through HIPAA Excelerate, Siemens will identify HIPAA compliance gaps and exposure, utilize electronic workflow tools and changes to address potential risks, and show customers how to use these tools and services to maximize workflow and improve performance.
HIPAA Excelerate includes two packages—HIPAA Revenue Cycle Protection and HIPAA Privacy and Security. HIPAA Revenue Cycle Protection focuses on the crucial transactions, code sets, and privacy exposure points in the revenue cycle workflow to protect and improve cash flow. HIPAA Privacy and Security provides the tools, processes, and information to help target security and privacy compliance.
