January 29, 2007—HNI Corporation has introduced Nature Core fiberboard, a non-woven composite material made from a blend of natural and synthetic fibers. The patent-pending Nature Core fiberboard will be offered as an alternative construction material on select Allsteel and HON panel systems, says the company.
Nature Core fiberboard is a renewable agri-fiber with structural performance superior to fiberglass, says the company. It has sound-blocking characteristics (STC) exceeding BIFMA standards and low formaldehyde emissions.
Nature Core is compliant with California Special Section 1350 specifications, currently the most stringent and comprehensive indoor air quality standards, says HNI.
