Homeland security issues tops FOSE 2002 conference

March 8, 2002—National homeland security spending by the federal government will nearly double from $19.5B in the current fiscal year to $37.7B in the recently proposed FY 2003 budget, according to Government Electronics and Information Technology Association (GEIA), a government technology research firm.

Propelled by this data, FOSE 2002, the largest technology infrastructure event serving the government market, will demonstrate solutions in homeland security, e-government, biometrics and IT infrastructure. FOSE 2002 will take place at the Washington DC Convention Center, March 19-21, 2002.

The security program at FOSE 2002 will include Keynote Speeches by CEO’s of major defense contractors who will discuss security issues from several perspectives.

A host of new security-related products from leading technology companies will be demonstrated in the Exhibit Hall and will address security-related issues from encryption, virus protection and firewall appliances to network security, information assurance and biometric technology.
