Honeywell partners with PAS to offer Automation Change Manager

April 26, 2006—Honeywell has announced it is partnering with industrial technology provider PAS Inc. to offer the Honeywell Automation Change Manager. Automation Change Manager is an electronic database-management and documentation system that allows industrial plant personnel to document and track changes across various Honeywell and third-party automation systems. This information is essential for resolving problems effectively and managing automation platforms, says Honeywell.

Bypassing time-intensive manual research relationships between various databases, control language programs, and subsystem schematics, Automation Change Manager gives instant access to up-to-date information across all subsystems. “This allows engineers, operators, and maintenance technicians to spend less time researching data between systems and more time focusing on performance initiatives,” says Harry Sim, VP marketing for Honeywell Process Solutions.

Automation Change Manager incorporates the PAS Integrity software to provide documentation and change tracking capability to Honeywell’s Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) as well as Honeywell’s advanced solutions and third-party systems. Powerful new features include cross-reference reports that identify relationships between automation systems and browser-based views that offer data access over customer intrane5s and extranets. The application also provides comprehensive audit trails that help industrial facilities comply with federal regulations and international quality standards.

Existing Honeywell DOC3000 customers can easily upgrade to Automation Change Manager for their TPS systems.
