Hospitality Manufacturing upgrades cabinets with cool, energy-efficient lights

February 25, 2005—The Puck Light from Lighting Science Group is being incorporated in Hospitality Manufacturing’s cabinet lines for hotel, office, school, and hospitality. According to Lighting Science, the newly developed light replaces hot, high-energy halogen lights with cool, energy efficient lights that use LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes).

The Puck Light is based on Lighting Science’s Optimized Digital Lighting (ODL) technology and is designed to illuminate the interior of armoires, cabinets, and other large furniture items. The Puck Light provides the same level of illumination as halogen lights, using 90 percent less electricity with an extended life (up to 50,000 hours). In addition to improving safety and reducing utility and labor costs, explains Lighting Science, Puck Lights are environmentally friendly and contain no hazardous substrates.
