IDEAL.com has released ScanDEX 2.5, a multi-field scanning and indexing software product that offers color image support, email image support, multi-page capability and direct printer support. ScanDEX 2.5 allows users to scan and index documents for CAD, AEC, FM, manufacturing, GIS, graphic design, office, technical, legal, or aperture card markets.
The new color image support feature, ScanOS, enables scanning and indexing of color documents. This optional module of the ScanDEX family performs color calibration allowing maximum color accuracy on IDEAL/Contex large format color scanners and ISIS supported scanners. Email image support enables ScanDEX to receive emailed images directly into the pending files folder with the option of automatically indexing and archiving the image.
The multi-page capability enables the use of banner-pages to separate records. Direct 36″ wide printer support includes Xerox 8830, Oce 9400 and KIP printers. ScanDEX also is compatible with Windows drivers. Other new features of ScanDEX 2.5 include the ability to run multiple large format and small format scanners simultaneously, and a tree view of records similar to Windows Explorer.
