October 10, 2001—The International Development Research Councils World Congress, scheduled for October 20-24 in Dallas, will now include security and risk management topics on the learning agenda. The IDRC World Congress will feature seminars on “Managing risk after Black Tuesday 2001: New strategies for worker and workplace security” and “When tragedy strikes: The role of corporate real estate in responding to workplace disasters.”
The original learning theme of the conference will remain, “Enhancing Corporate Real Estates Value Proposition in a Time of Economic Change.” Executive Development Seminars designed to increase the strategic value of corporate real estate executives and service providers are also being offered prior to the World Congress on October 20-21.
