April 27, 2009—Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), a provider of integrated performance analysis software for sustainable building design, will preview its new architectural product VE-Gaia at AIA Expo 2009 in San Francisco, April 30 to May 2.
VE-Gaia offers “step-by-step” smart navigation that defines different sustainable design analysis processes by weaving a workflow through IES’ Virtual Environment software. It allows users to undertake complex environmental performance analysis without the need for expert knowledge, says the company.
VE-Gaia will be released in June 2009, but visitors to IES’ booth at AIA can witness a sneak preview of the product as well as regular demonstrations throughout the show. A step up from the IES VE-Toolkits, VE-Gaia offers the same ease of use and quick feedback capabilities, but also provides users the ability to input exact building data and manipulate models.
Key navigator capabilities within VE-Gaia will include; climate, building and material metrics; availability of natural resources; water usage; renewable/low carbon technologies, as well as a range of LEED credit options.
